Utility bill has been incorrect for months, but we are in a rental so we can’t fix it.

We are in a rental. The utility bill is in our landlords name and we pay her.

Problem is, for months, we have been getting charged for 3 trash cans that don’t exist. We told our landlord , who said shed call them and refund us later. But we are on month 6 now and still getting charged.

Does anyone know our rights here. We are out 300 dollars in incorrect fees at this point.

Can we just tell our landlord we will only pay the correct amount and deduct the charges till they fix it.
