Greenwood obviously has its downsides, but I’ve lived here for 15+ years and still think it’s one of the better values in Seattle.
I’ve considered moving neighborhoods, but you get more space here, a real neighborhood feel, easy access to Phinney, Ballard, north Fremont, accessible walking, jogging, or biking. A 10-minute bike ride or 20-minute walk puts you in neighborhoods that are pretty cost-prohibitive for a lot of people. The 5 takes you all the way down to SODO and the northgate light rail is close-ish.
It’s not perfect, but for the price and space, I think Greenwood is tough to beat if you want a city feel and want space.
