Last week, I’d watch the crows and squirrels and raccoons living their lives, and living in our filth, and they’re just gone now.

Somebody bought my apartment complex and started doing landscaping, because, it seems to me to be the cheapest way to milk more money out of tenants, and I’ve watched the animals that never seemed to cause me harm dehomed. Feels like, literally, three feet worth of landscaping, and they’ve all just left. Feels really fucked up. Not to mention that my neighbors and I struggle to keep a roof over their heads and have the threat of rising rent looming over us. I mean, I do.
