stolen wallet

hey everyone, my wallet was stolen tonight around midnight from the QFC on broadway + pike. i used my card, walked home, and immediately noticed it wasnt in my pocket. did a quick check of the usual places i may have set it down, then hoofed it back to QFC just in case.

talk to the cashiers; no reported wallet.

i leave, and immediately get a ping from cashapp telling me a purchase has been declined, at QFC. i RUN back inside, tell security, go to the registers, and see one of the cashiers i had talked to helping a customer with their transaction. theyre taking items off bc the total is too high for their card…

no, for MY card. i can see its the exact same total. i say “hes trying to use my card.” the cashier already knows my side of the story, so when i say “he just got declined for $38.10” and the cashier sees that number on the screen, they call security.

the guy claimed to have found it in the trash. he gives me the card that declined. i say my whole wallet was missing. he hands me another card. i say, all i need is my drivers license. (there was no cash or any usable card in it so they didnt get shit). he says “its in the trash outside, you can go look.”

at this point security is filming and telling him hes trespassed. we get outside and he walks past the trash to this guy with a big aggressive dog (german shepherd) that starts barking immediately. the guy had backup for this heist. says its actually in a different trash, his friend can tell me where. his friend makes some noises and then he says “its in the trash by hot mamas. come with us, we’ll show you.”

PLEASE!

so, im down a wallet, but i didnt follow them to get further robbed, and i hope this serves as a lesson for others: DO NOT EVER GO TO A SECOND LOCATION.

anywaaaayyy, if anyone finds my wallet or missing cards PLEASE let me know. it was a little brown leather no-fold card holder. my drivers license is the only thing i really need back.
