It’s deja vu all over again: another Pac Sci dinosaur extinction event + more bad news about a reflecting pool renovation project. I visited the Pacific Science Center this weekend and was surprised to find that the triceratops and stegosaurus sculptures had disappeared from the reflecting pool area outside the museum. I had just seen them a few weeks ago, so I asked the museum staff when and why they were removed. Apparently it happened a couple of weeks ago because the fiberglass sculptures were badly damaged beyond the point of repair. I asked if there was going to be an auction, and the staff person said they think the statues were demolished. submitted by /u/Constructive_Entropy |
