Let’s talk groceries! This post probably belongs in r/frugal, but it would be great to trade tips with folks who live here in our local HCOL market.
Please share any tips, sources, pitfalls, for keeping grocery bills in check in this city.
I’ll get the Costco plug out of the way. With a household size of 2, we don’t get produce from Costco, can’t consume it in bulk fast enough, but certainly proteins, dry goods, paper products. The $5 rotisserie chicken is a lifestyle. Several meals worth of meat and then I’ll convert the carcass into stock for soup.
What do ya’ll got?
