Hi folks. Hope you’re having a nice day!
I’m renting with this property management company and I’ve had nothing but problems. Unfortunately it’s difficult to get legal assistance with things like this because it seems no one wants to help just one lowly tenant. They aren’t the first property management company that I’ve dealt with here who breaks the law, incorrectly charges their tenants, and refuses to fix things within the legally required timeframe (or fix things at all) – but sadly, they’re my current landlord and I’ve been dealing with it since moving in.
Is anyone else who lives in one of their buildings struggling with getting their repairs in their apartments done? Being charged for things incorrectly/directly conflicting with what their lease lists as charges? Getting their deposits back within the legally allowed timeframe? GETTING ANY RESPONSE FROM THEM AT ALL???
I’m curious to know what the next step for legal assistance would be. A lawsuit with multiple tenants coming together??? Maybe multiple tenants coming together to sue them would actually be worthwhile for lawyers in the city to give us the time of day…
NOTE: Please do not suggest the free legal help for tenants. They don’t get back to you for months and don’t actually help with legal proceedings. It’s very disappointing to finally get a call back from them after 3+ months waiting and find out that you’ve only got 30 minutes of very basic conversation on the legality of things, but no help to actually do anything about the problems. 🙁
