The Rainier Beach Safeway on Renton Ave charged me a 43% WA Liquor tax on my 8-pack of High Noons today. I’m not usually one to notice this type of thing, but I ended up paying over 50% in taxes and nearly $38 for 8 High Noons?? When I asked the store, they directed me to corporate, but when I asked corporate they directed me to the store.
