Today Wilson spoke at an event highlighting the impact the Trump/Project 2025 demolition plan has on women. She did an excellent job tying together the importance of bodily autonomy nationally with the ability to raise a family (childcare now so costly it’s like paying another ‘rent’) and thrive in our city. I admire her steadfastness and thoughtful approach to issues: She cares deeply, but avoids being doctrinaire or jingoistic. I so hope people turn out for her in November and don’t fall for the fearmongering Harrell will deploy (which is simply a small scale version of what Trump used to gin up the vote for himself last year). submitted by /u/Amesenator |
