I live in the CD where everyone pretends to be low-drama but definitely has opinions.
New renters next door have a large dog that aggressively barks at me whenever I’m in my backyard.
It charges the fence and doesn’t stop until I go inside.
I had a bad experience with a dog as a kid (got chased), so it hits a real nerve.
I ended up barking back at it one day. It wasn’t strategic. It was just… reactive.
Owner comes out. We’ve never met. I say they should train their dog.
They say “he’s nice.”
Every dog in Seattle is apparently nice. All evidence suggests otherwise.
Now I’m wondering if I escalated something that should’ve been handled more politely.
