Was stopped at a light about to make a right on red. Looked left, looked right, looked left, started to pull out, slammed on brakes when I saw a dude pass in front of me from the right on a scooter. He continued on down the sidewalk, but he sure wasn’t on the sidewalk when I looked right just before the turn. Maybe he came around me from behind. I don’t really know. I’m glad I didn’t hit him, but too many people ride those things chaotically and as if they were invulnerable. Be predictable, people, just not predictably stupid.
