Saw one of my friends from protests posted up outside the Central Co-op on Capitol Hill with this sign. I had never heard of the movie or Tasveer Film Center but I drove down to Rainier Ave to see it. According to https://americandoctorfilm.com/buy-tickets Seattle is one of about 25 American cities where the movie can be seen. The movie is about the three American physicians’ experiences helping victims in Gaza, and briefly covers their discouraging attempt in Washington D.C. to get lawmakers to put constraints on Israel. The doctors are excoriating in their criticisms of Israel, accusing them of constantly breaking ceasefires and committing war crimes by bombing hospitals (and the Jewish doctor admits that of the three of them he is the one whose identity most affords him the privilege to make these criticisms). There were only about 15 people in the screening in a room that could hold about 100. (I’m surprised no pro-Palestine group in Seattle has put out a call for people to go see it.) Note the documentary does show a fair amount of gore; none of it is sensationalized but there are shots of an arm with a chunk of flesh missing and clearly visible bone (the person was on an operating table and unconscious).
