Any Given Tuesday... 3 June 2025 Edition

Well any given Tuesday evening, Avrum (Alex) Tsimerman can cause a lot of trouble. Let me share the 3 June 2025 version of… Any Given Tuesday:

First, Tsimerman again appeared at Bellevue City Council with his campaign sign. That got the PDC a complaint about the Bellevue City Clerk:

Bellevue City Clerk Charmaine Arredondo and the Bellevie City Council have allowed Avrum (Alex) Tsimerman to attend Bellevue City Council meetings since at least May 13, 2025 with a sign that says, “STOP Bellevue Council. Nazi Gestapo Pigs!” followed by attacks on his opponent Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson and on Deputy Mayor Mo Malakoutian, Deputy Mayor. Frankly, one of the reasons why I’m targeting the clerk is to protect Mayor Robinson. Also, this Clerk could have instructed Tsimerman to put his sign away, arguably.

The Bellevie TV support staff has attempted to get creative in removing Tsimerman’s sign from the air. However, this alone does not remedy RCW 42.17A.555. The best remedy is to ban campaign signs altogether. The second best remedy is to again exclude Tsimerman for the maximum, which is currently the insufficient sixty (60) days.

I am asking the PDC to please issue the City Council of Bellevue and its Clerk a warning letter stating that candidates for office may not use signs to perpetuate their candidacy in City Council chambers. If there is not a change in Bellevue behavior, the next step should be $5,000 fines on the Clerk and each Councilmember for each meeting in violation where anti-Semetic Alex Tsimerman is appeased.

I know this Council is struggling, as are other Eastslde City Councils, to address Tsimerman’s misconduct but I believe the PDC could provide some cover to help in certain instances. Respectfully, this is one of those instances where any given Tuesday can lead to a PDC complaint on Wednesday.

I hope this complaint, as others I have filed leads to:

a) WAC support for RCW 42.17A.555

b) Shifting the onus onto the thief/violator.

c) Change in Bellevue City Council to synchronize with Redmond City Council policies

Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sorry to add to the PDC complaint backlog.

If that was not bad enough, Tsimerman came and decided to give a Nazi salute to the Redmond City Council. There are several half-Jews and a full Jew as well as a Muslim on Redmond’s city council. Tsimerman’s anti-Semitism in one photo.

After Boulder and the assassination of Sarah Milgram + Yaron Lischinsky and the “Super UW” attacks on the University of Washington, where is the redoubling of effort to stop anti-Semitism here?

At a time when Jews confide in allies like me a deep fear: Where is the universal condemnation of Tsimerman’s Nazi salute?

Because anti-Semitism never ends with the Jews. See the photo above. Note the Pride flag. I am warning the LGBTQ community – Tsimerman and his pals WILL come after you if he’s elected to the Bellevue City Council.

Tsimerman’s hate does not end with the Jewish community and Redmond. No, Tsimerman’s attacks extend to our democracy, where Tsimerman’s misbehavior has generated complaint after complaint ending in over $35K in fines. Tsimerman has also targeted the Bellevue School Board, Sound Transit, PSRC, and other democratic bodies of note.

It’s past time to draw a red line and put an end to this. NOW and not after the next anti-Semitic atrocity. Please.
