I got fired from my job a few weeks ago and it has triggered probably the worst depressive episode I’ve ever been in, which sucks because I was so prepared for the big dark and then getting fired was totally unexpected. I’m really at the end of my rope, running low on meds and without health insurance, job hunting etc – I want to feel alive (or anything really).
Once when I was depressed, though not like this, I spent a day at Six Flags (New England) and felt like I could take on the world the next day. I really want to (safely) give my nervous system a jump start and I know there’s no theme parks around here. I’m really low on money so I don’t think indoor skydiving is an option. Any ideas?
I’ve been depressed before, I do have a support network but none of them individually knows everything that’s been going on. I’m really struggling but have my basic needs covered so any ideas would really help me out.
