So, I have a 1200 sq ft apartment which I wanna rent out. I used to live in it but I’ve moved in with my long term partner and we’ll be getting married soon. I’ve never done any landlording or been responsible for tenants before and I dont really think I’m ready for it either. My partner suggested putting it up through Belong and letting them sort it out. He said he has a couple friends who either rent or rent out from them and they’re all fairly satisfied. I’ve also gone through their websites and they will come out to be cheaper than if I were to hire a property manager. And they claim they can find me a tenant within 3 weeks, and they’ll be the one responsible for rent, evictions, repairs, maintenance etc. you egt it. I’m really inclined to go with them because honestly I do not want to do a lot of these things. I just need some more reviews from people with one or 2 properties, normal people who do not do property work as their main job and have used Belong to rent or rent out. Ultimately we might end up selling the apartment if all goes well, so that’s also a possibility. So then, anything I should know or lookout for?
