My boyfriend and I are changing apartments at the start of February but are feeling pretty stonewalled with rental criteria. Our income is fine, and my rental history is positive, but my credit is in the bin after a year of medical calamities that heavily impacted my finances. His credit is fine, but is extremely limited, and it is his first time renting, so no history.
We *literally* cannot find any buildings that don’t have a hard 600-650 credit requirement, even MFTE units that we are eligible for. What exactly are we supposed to do? Does anyone have leads for buildings that will work with tenants with mediocre credit scores?
