A local Auburn couple, business owners, got into a domestic dispute yesterday morning. The police were called, and the man fled. He had the family dog with him, so he dropped him off at the business before fleeing.
The police surrounded the business, called in SWAT, and did an hours-long “negotiation” with nobody before breaking down the doors (despite having a key) and using chemical munitions and flash bombs which set the building on fire, and then did not put the fire out or get the dog. They would not allow the woman to get the dog all day long and he perished in the fire they set.
They sent out a press release full of lies late last night, absolving them of their responsibility. The man was black. He was unarmed, but is stated as being armed in the news reports.
The cadaver dogs and fire department just confirmed only the dogs remains were found in the wreckage.
This is your community. This is your police department. This is unacceptable.
Every downvote is justification for the coverup and the loss of the family dog. Every downvote is an upvote for poor policing, use of excessive force, and police brutality. If you don’t have anything kind to say, keep it to yourself. The family dog was innocent.
