Ballard QFC – copper theft took deli and meat counters offline

I just stopped into the Ballard QFC and noticed all of the meat counters and deli shelves were completely empty. They’ve still got packaged meats, but all the ask-the-person stuff (preseasoned, etc) are totally empty.

As I was checking out the cashier told me somebody broke onto the roof of the building and stole all the copper tubing and they’re looking at a $40k repair bill.

Sometimes it’s almost enough to make me think about leaving this place…
