At 11pm on Dec 23 i realized my furnace was no longer sending warm air. On checking my 5yr old furnace, I smelled the ‘burn wire’ smell. I suspected it was the black motor attached to the front. eCommerce said I could have one delivered within the first few weeks of Jan. I have kids and holiday company for the next several days.
Beacon Plumbing answered the call and had two young and kind guys to my house right away in the morning. They confirmed my suspicion. That pump motor was shot. They drove back to the shop and got it. On Amazon the thing is ~$150. They arrived and said the part cost is $500 because “you have a high efficiency furnace…”
The job was wrapped inside of 20 minutes.
They left me with a bill for $2000.00

And yes, Beacon Plumbing made me realize I am a complete and total fool. A sucker at the holidays!
Congrats Beacon Plumbing. You SCORED! You are clearly making a killing out there in this city that is difficult to live in.
For everyone else. Avoid Beacon Plumbing when you can.
