Beginner Birdwatching?

Hello all,

I’m hoping to get into birdwatching. I’ve done it a couple of times in my life but want to be more involved and learn more about the birds in the PNW area! I was wondering if there are any good (and hopefully cheap/free) birdwatching communities in Seattle. I did some digging and found birds connect (https://birdsconnectsea.org) which looks like it’s open to beginners, but I’m wondering if there are also any groups geared more towards teaching newbies.
