Bite of Seattle favoring non-local food vendors over supporting local Seattle while ripping off its vendors – support other local food events instead

Many of you may not know this, but Bite of Seattle was sold and purchased my a CA-based tech company. They have changed the event to rip the most money out of their craft vendors hands by taking almost 50% of their money after show cost and mandatory 20% sales that go to Bite of Seattle, all that they are not 100% forthcoming about. They have CA and country-wide food vendors that get priority over small washington businesses. It shouldn’t be called Bite OF Seattle because very little is represented of Seattle food.

Don’t support tech companies taking advantage of small businesses and squeezing out opportunity for local food businesses. Go to the many food truck and markets instead, most for free
