I don’t think I have ever made a genuine friend from Bumble BFF. It’s always turned into a swipe and say hi and then never talk again situation. I’m curious about everyone’s real experiences with these friendship apps and platforms. I’ve been trying to make friends in Seattle for like 2 years now and honestly it’s been rough.
I tried Meetup too its a Hit or miss. Some groups are cool but a lot feel super cliquey or have weird vibes like crypto bros or something. Also why does every “young professional” meetup turn into a networking event?
Maybe I’m doing something wrong? Like do you actually make lasting friendships from these or is it just a way to have occasional social interaction?
For context I’m late 20s and moved here from out of state. Back home making friends felt more natural like you’d meet people at bars or through work and it would just happen. Here everyone seems more… closed off? Not sure if that’s a Seattle thing or just adulting in general.
