Was just at the Burke Museum today. First time there since they built the new building.
There is parking at the museum, pay most days, free on Sunday.
It has 3 floors of exhibits and is decent size – smaller than the art museum.
It has Asian-pacific islander and native American artifacts on the first floor.
The second floor has skeletons and taxidermy of normal animals (birds, beavers, etc)
The third floor has fossils of dinosaurs and ice age animals – including a mammoth. They seem to be full size and are cool.
We spent 2-3 hours there going through the exhibits.
It is a small but nice natural history museum. My only real complaint is that the numbers on the artifacts are tiny, so when you read a sign that says #2 is a canoe paddle it is really hard to tell which paddle has a #2 on it.
