My gf and I drove here from the Midwest a year ago hoping to find work and a real home. We slept in car safe lots, showered on Roy st., went to food banks, drove a little Uber Eats, lost friends to Fentanyl, lost our shit in a tinyhome and still dont touch the hard drugs. Finally got a job about 6 months ago — finally got out the tinyhome village after 8 months — into a beautiful apartment in capitol hill. It feels so damn good I almost wanna cry sometimes.
Here’s the dilemma: we can’t afford the rent and bills. Like not even half. How they got us in here I have no idea. Were not doing Gofundme or accepting donations or panhandling. But we love it here for real and don’t wanna leave and go back to the street. Its urgent since we dont have rent for September.
Please help me brainstorm legit, good-paying side-hustle gigs or any honest money in Seattle– no wrong answers (she doesnt know I’m putting this on reddit lol).
