Weird question but hear me out. I’m a hobby home cook and wanting to dive into a really authentic Indian butter chicken. I’m also in an apartment. I need a single piece of charcoal for this dish to give it a smokey flavor that would normally come from using a tandoor. I could buy cheap bags of charcoal but it feels wasteful as I only need one.
If the recipe works out then I’d buy a bag of charcoal to keep making it, but would rather do a test run first.
So is there anyone in the neighborhood willing to give me 1-2 pieces of charcoal in the next couple of days? I’m car-less so hoping I can stick relatively close by. Happy to exchange for a container of my homemade chicken stock or like a dollar? Obviously a safe, outdoor daytime exchange preferred.
