I am a struggling 40-year-old trying to get an apartment with my fiance who is disabled and not working. I have a full-time job that I’ve been at for 3 months, I’m a recovering alcoholic who’s been sober almost 8 months now. I have basically zero credit, and he doesn’t have income other than the $400 he gets in disability. We have somebody to sign as a guarantor, but my credit is so bad that they’re(apartment complexs) not accepting it. We tried to get into an mfte apartment, and we’re not accepted due to credit. No one seems to take a guarantor company either. Does anyone have any advice, or an avenue idea you think I could go down… any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
