17.5 years seems like a pretty light load for killing 4 people – 3 kids, in a wanton act of violent disregard for others. He got the minimum, and he will possibly be out in less than 10 years? OTOH, at least he pled guilty to all charges.

I don’t really feel any sympathy or empathy for him or his family (especially not towards his mom and dad, maybe ~0.1% towards him). When I was 17-22, I drove too fast occasionally and made some stupid driving decisions – never even close to this level – but still, I did know people in my high school who killed themselves, and others, driving too fast. This kid did not need a German sports car, like ever. And he needed better parenting. The vid. of the mom coming to one of his accidents and brushing it off…then the next care after that was a BMW (which he totaled too)….SMH.

I vaguely knew the familieskids. Still beyond tragic.
