Crows Aerating Everyones Lawns

This really seems like a new thing in the last few years. Wondering if anyone knows if this a recently learned behavior, or if their normal resources are scarcer, or if it’s some new tasty grub they’ve discovered or what?

Edit: Or I could have just been blissfully unaware of this behavior until recently 🙂
