Disturbing events, unfolding in Coupeville: we need to talk.
I’m reaching out to this community to help elevate the awareness of disturbing events happening on one of the islands here in Washington. I am beyond disturbed by recent events at Coupeville Middle School and Coupeville High School. It seems we are facing a serious issue that can’t be ignored.
There have been reports of a so-called “rape cult” forming among students, which is already alarming enough. Recently, a 12-year-old allegedly committed sexual assault against another 12-year-old, while a third juvenile recorded the incident and shared it with others. The gravity of this situation is staggering, yet the only actions taken so far appear to be suspensions, and the principal and vice principal have been placed on administrative leave. No charges have been filed against anyone involved.
To make matters worse, a group of students has been wearing pink hats and reportedly signed papers claiming they are part of this “cult,” with intentions to target minority students. This is unacceptable, and it feels like a serious injustice is being swept under the rug in our small community.
How can we allow this to happen? We need to hold our schools accountable and demand justice for the victims. I urge everyone to speak out, raise awareness, and ensure that our children feel safe and protected. This isn’t just a school issue; it’s a community issue that we must address together.
Let’s get the conversation started. What are your thoughts? What actions can we take as a community to ensure that this is properly addressed?
