Went to Elliott’s Oyster House for dinner on Friday and the food was good, but afterwards the server came to us with the bill and proceeded to explain that they were being paid less than minimum wage and would need a tip on top of the 20% service charge in order to survive. I thought it was weird, so I decided to look it up after we left and I found out that he was being paid 35-60 per hour based on commissions so we just tipped him for no reason.
Not planning on ever coming back here or bringing friends and family from out of state. It was the employee with an afro and hot pink nails.
