Hey, if anyone is looking for a nice thing to do tomorrow, my daughter has organized an Empty Bowls event for Issaquah tomorrow 5/16, 5-8pm. Empty Bowls is a charity founded in 1990 to help feed the food insecure, and it works through volunteers organizing and holding events in their communities.
The basic premise is to get restaurants/cooking schools to donate soup, and local potters to make and donate bowls for the event. Buying a ticket gets you one of the donated bowls, filled with soup, and the proceeds go to the local food bank.
