Went to one of the matches couple of weeks ago. Rules are different as the event is ran by FIFA and the rules are F*ng stupid. You are asked to pour your drink that comes in a can into a CUP. You have a water you bought? Yeah, you need to pour that into a CUP as well, creating SO MUCH unnecessary waste. round of drinks we got – we grabbed a cup, a clear one. OUR mistake because the clear cups are meant for NA bevvies, we had beers but we didn’t know we grabbed the wrong cup. Went to reuse the said cup during second round of alcoholic drinks, we were told we couldn’t bc we had the wrong cup. Aluminum cups are supposed to be used for alcoholic beverages. So 2 rounds of drinks – 4 cans in the recycle bin, and 4 stupid cups used. Sorry long winded but I’m still mad about the amount of unnecessary waste this created, and will further create during the World Cup next year. 🙄🙄🙄 Adding – I know it’s so people don’t throw the cans etc, I guess I’m just too used to more civilized fans at Sounders/Seahawks/Mariners games lol.
