Fyi it looks like police agencies want to encrypt their radios in king county. Please contact them and urge for transparency.

With much of the police having a bad reputation these days much of the radio traffic is still in the clear. However it sounds like that might be changing soon. PSERN is the governing board when it comes to the King County radio system. It sounds like from their board meetings they are looking to encrypt channels for both Police and Fire. If you read through this it has some mention of encryption if you want transparency please urge your cities and PSERN not to encrypt.
