Gas Station Savior
So imma be blunt, I haven’t had a car for long and absolutely never changed a tire lol. Somehow I ran over a screw and was able to make it to the gas station in downtown Tacoma to air them up when a gentleman asked if I needed some help. I laughed and said yes. This sweetheart of a man at 8pm at night helped me change my tire with my spare. Not only did he help me, HE TAUGHT ME. Made me do enough of every step from the jack placement, to the lug nuts and tightening them correctly so I knew how to do alone in the future. He didn’t mansplain, and actually asked if I knew before assuming. No I didn’t know but the respect and kindness was so sweet. It was genuinely so wholesome and kind, and he said I won’t always be here to help. I’m teaching you this so you won’t be in this position again. He left in a hurry cause he was a dad that just got off work, and said Merry Christmas. New core memory for real. Tysm Tacoma for still surprising me with the sense of community that is here. Also, got patches this morning and will be doing that after work. Somehow I’ve done that but not changing a tire. 😂😂
