Getting so tired of almost being run down in crosswalks

I have lived in Seattle for three years now, and I walk to work, walk to the grocery store, and walk to the park almost every day. i’ve been almost hit by drivers while I’m crossing the road probably 30 times at this point.

Just today it was someone making a right turn while I was crossing at a cross signal, even though there’s a no right turn sign, and I literally just stopped in front of their car and started yelling at them and pointing at the sign. it’s an automatic reaction at this point when someone almost hits me I just start yelling at them, but I don’t know what to do like I feel like the stress of this is getting to me. It’s happened so many times.

The worst was when I was crossing again at a cross signal, and a car started making an unprotected left turn straight towards me, I did my normal freeze move, and they started accelerating straight at me so I had to jump backwards.

i’ve started waiting at stop signs when cars show up and waiting for them to wave me across, even though I could’ve easily started crossing before they even got to their stop sign, but you just can’t trust drivers.

anyways, the point of this post was I guess to just vent, and see if anyone has ideas for not losing my shit when people almost hit me and see if other people experience the same thing.

I love living in a walkable city, but this “pedestrian rage” happens to me way more often than any sort of driving incident back when I lived somewhere I had to drive everywhere.
