The piece is called “Are You Experienced?”, by Einar and James de la Torre, dated 2025. Each one is about six feet tall and they are at the end of D terminal by the entrance to the restroom. When I was a kid I thought those lenticular “flip effect” image-changing stickers looked like magic and a six-foot-tall one would have blown my mind; kids today probably aren’t impressed since they grew up with touchscreens, so they take it for granted that flat surfaces can “magically” change. “Are You Experienced?” is also the name of Jimi Hendrix’s debut album; I don’t think there are any Jimi Hendrix references in the pictures, except that they both look like what you’d see if you did a lot of drugs. submitted by /u/bennetthaselton |
