I used someone on Rover for 4 nights to watch my 8 month old puppy when I was out of town. When I returned I was shocked to see he had a severe limp and puncture wounds on his chest. He has been checked my vet and had a pretty serious break in his foot. But even worse is my pup now seems distrusting and fearful of strangers, especially male-presenting folks, and other dogs. I fear the sitter neglected him or worse! I had been working with him since he was 6 months old to ensure good experiences with strangers/ dogs, but this recent experience was a huge set back. Hoping to have 3-5 good experiences with nice friendly people and/or dogs to reinforce his faith in people again!
