NYC – stupid expensive, walking the streets is inherently dangerous, shitty for your health (cortisol spikes from living in a packed city), crackhead capital of the US, filled with undesirables and people who can’t afford to live there
Austin – many friendly people, but also a lot of homeless in Downtown
Seattle – terrible place with mentally ill, crime, fenty addicts, and homeless
Bellevue stands out because it’s filled with largely decent people who are in school or work, doing something with their lives. Little to no crackheads.
If Seattle brings its trash into Bellevue with the lightrail, it will no longer stand out.
Will Bellevue fall prey to this, or will they fight to be resistant and preserve what exists?
