Homeowner opinions on Seattle “School Streets”? To convert our street or not, that is the question.

Our street is a candidate and it may just make things better, but I’m looking for anyone’s experience living on a designated “School Street,” and whether it made life better or worse. Parents *are not* supposed to use our street for drop off and pick up, and the school is useless in enforcing their traffic plan. It’s currently mayhem. So, prohibiting all but buses on our street could make that issue better. But would it be a hassle? Will it be enforced? Would appreciate anyone’s opinion on whether it’s worth pursuing. Thanks!

Edit: I’m 100% pro School Streets for safety, but it’s not the gist of my post. The traffic making it dangerous for students is the parents of those students who *are not* supposed to be on our street, per the plan.
