My kids are in special ed and get dropped off from school in one of those little yellow school buses that we called “the short bus” back in the day. Today the driver dropped off the kids and took maybe 30 more seconds to move along and a middle aged woman in a Nissan Leaf laid on the horn the whole time. This is not the first time people have honked at the special ed bus either.
Sometime during COVID so many people driving seemed to lose basic courtesy and compassion for each other and it never came back.
I’m not sure why I’m sharing this except to say, if you find yourself road raging against the short bus that takes special ed kids to school, maybe it’s time to ask yourself some questions about how you are living your life.
