For all you Saint Rat Fans, from the artist’s instagram (@hotratsummereternal)- Opening Reception Saturday, June 13th 5-9pm, after party 9-12am ✨ Outside the gallery you will find the Hot Rat Summer outdoor arts festival featuring hundreds of rats from dozens of trans artists. Throughout Occidental Park and Pioneer Square neighborhood. Children of Shelly’s Leg by Living Dream Lab is a series of queer and trans visual art and performances taking place in Pioneer Square. The name is a reference to Seattle’s first Gay Disco, Shelly’s Leg, in Pioneer Square in the 1970s. Hot Rat Summer is known for reclaiming and transforming city spaces to highlight trans joy and resilience, so this is a natural pairing in Seattle’s oldest queer neighborhood, Pioneer Square 🌈 submitted by /u/Kitchen-Whole8510 |
