Incident 25-287240 Location: Rainier Ave S and S Alaska St In northbound lane of Rainier Ave S I got a text from police like 15 min after my call stating that they did not see anything in the area. Ugh. Story: I was in the left hand turning lane today Oct 1, 2025 at approx 12:40pm on the northbound side of Rainier Ave S – at S Alaska turning left onto Alaska, when two males tried to open car doors for vehicles in the turning lane. One of them approached my vehicle but I had already started moving towards the light – honestly it all happened so so fast. They were unsuccessful and ran back into a red minivan-van that was waiting at the light with its back sliding door waiting open. They then ran back into the waiting vehicle and sped off. It was very scary. I know that there is an SDOT camera at that traffic light. Adding some texts of the incident number to prove that this happened. submitted by /u/TiredOfViolenceSEA |
