How do you dry your recyclables while avoiding clutter in your kitchen?

Trying to be more environmentally conscious. The Seattle website states “Remember to clean out your recyclables and keep them dry. No food or liquids in recycling.”

Right now I leave my washed milk cartons, yogurt tubs, etc by the window sill to air dry, but they end up sitting there for a whole day and clutter my kitchen.

Thinking of using a paper bag and letting them air dry in that. What do you all do to avoid clutter when it comes to drying out recyclables before tossing them?
