Coming from Portland I wanted to transition into using the bus more here as well.
Busses are not reliable.
I live near the end/start of a route. I literally just watched a bus get to the turn around point and sit one stop down from me, presumably waiting for the correct departure time. Except that departure time came and went. 10 minutes late the bus finally started its journey.
Doesn’t seem like a big deal but I will now miss my connecting bus and this sets my journey back by about 40 minutes.
It is not the worst city by far, but can do better.
