A lot of recent posts on here are from people wanting to connect with each other. Connection through poetry, connection through shared values, connection through sports, connection through dating, or just straight up asking for new friends.
This city is a genuinely hard place to make friends! It isn’t easy to put yourself out there and just say, “Hey, I want to connect with another person, can you help me make that happen?” So, props to all of the people doing this lately. If more of us made an effort like that both here and IRL, we’d all be better off for it, imho. A lot of posts like that get downvoted (and this one prob will too!), but I see you.
If anyone here has an entrepreneurial mind, this seems like proof that this town is thirsty af for some new third places.
