Immigrants are victims, not criminals.

As the agents of Trump march through our region looking for immigrants, I just want to reiterate the facts about the vast majority of immigrants. For the last several years, Trump/MAGA/GOP/conservative mass media has been lying about immigrants in horrific vile terms. But they should look at a mirror for they are evil, and their prey are innocent/victims of American policies.

Immigrants cannot vote, a majority cannot receive government assistance, they commit significantly less crime than native born Americans, they are more entrepreneurial than Americans. They do NOT carry illegal drugs or Fentanyl into America. Most cross our Southern border legally claiming, “asylum status”. They are fleeing unsustainable conditions that in large measure is blamed on American actions (US demand for illegal drugs, lax gun laws in Texas and emerging Climate Change effects).

Realize that about $10 billion/year flows from the United States (drug addicts) to the drug cartels to Mexico/Central America. Our insane level of drug addiction funds the cartels that buy guns from Texas (because of lax gun laws over 200,000/year are bought and delivered to the drug cartels). They also use the money/weapons to terrorize weak governments and its poor residents. Residents of these corrupt and violent nations cannot sustain their families. They must flee north where many have relatives/friends in America. They travel a couple thousand miles through jungles, deserts and mountains for a safe haven in America. They are fleeing conditions created by American actions. They are not criminals, they are victims and should be supported in America, a nation of immigrants.
