Car parked in the red circle, trash cans in the yellow circle. I just moved here 2 weeks ago. Last week, the garbage men came banging on my door asking me to move my car, which was parked in the red circle. They explained to me that the road is so narrow that they need space to turn around and drive out. I said okay, that makes sense, I won’t park there on trash day. This week, one of my neighbors was parked in that same spot (don’t know which). I wasn’t home, but I assume that when the garbage men came, they went around knocking on our doors again to no avail. This ticket was left on their car, but none of the others. Is it illegal to park here, or on both sides of a cul-de-sac in general? There are no parking signs anywhere on this road. I understand that it’s frustrating if they don’t have space to turn around, but unless they put actual signs or paint on the road, can they do anything? Tldr; Are the garbage men are being petty/trying to scare us, or is this is this an actual ticket with legal standing? It also looks like it’s not meant for residents but for construction crews. submitted by /u/bellaxing |
