The author of this article at least, seems to think that withholding federal taxes is viable. With the federal administration openly saying that the entire federal apparatus should be used only for war, and nothing else, while defunding every federal program possible to funnel it into war and tax cuts for the richest, I think there’s merit to the idea of legally withholding federal taxes on constitutional grounds.
Is this legally viable? Is it a worthwhile idea? Is a ballot initiative the thing to do for this, or how does Washington get the ball rolling?
