Years ago, I bought my German, at the time, wife a gold necklace. It is a German 5 Deutsch Mark coin that has been cut out around the eagle and then gold plated. It is her favorite piece of jewelry, but she doesn’t wear it anymore, because all of the gold plating has worn off, and the necklace and clasp have broken. I would like to get this piece restored with new gold plating, a new necklace and clasp. Does anyone know of a small reputable jewelry repair shop in the area that does artisan level work and is capable of doing gold plating?
