Lake Union is a bit lack luster compared to other marinas/lakes (such as Kirkland, Edmonds, etc.) with not many options for coffee or snacks. LU can be breathtaking when it’s sunny out and the planes are landing. But the area needs more human traffic and less geese.

Is there a “friends of lake union” type org that’s working to make the area cleaner and better? It’s a bit surprising to see it so sparce (relatively speaking of course) when the SLU is so dense and full of young professionals.
